Dr. Prestridge earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas. His first two years of post-graduate training were completed in Austin and Galveston. He was then called to service in the United States Air Force and served two years as a general medical officer. The remaining three years of his specialty training were completed in Galveston with the Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. He then moved to Wichita Falls where he has been in active practice since.
Dr. Prestridge is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. He is also certified in the diagnosis and treatment of allergy problems by the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.
His training and experience encompass a wide variety of medical and surgical diseases of the head and neck including hearing problems and ear diseases, nasal and sinus diseases including airway blockage, allergy, sinus infections, polyps, throat, voice and swallowing problems, salivary gland and thyroid tumors, surgical treatment of various eyelid problems and complex skin cancers.
