Cameron Godfrey, MD is a board certified Otolaryngologist. Dr. Godfrey completed his medical school training at the University of Texas San Antonio, where he graduated Alpha Omega Alpha (top 10 percent). He did additional training in London, England in General Surgery at St Thomas University Medical School before moving on to Internship and Residency in Dallas, Texas at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
Following a General Surgery Internship, Dr Godfrey completed a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. His training in Dallas/Fort Worth involved work at Parkland Hospital, Children’s Medical Center, the Veterans Hospital, St Paul Hospital, and John Peter Smith Hospital. Dr. Godfrey is Board Certified with the American Board of Otolaryngology.
He is also board certified in Allergy with the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy since 1996. Additionally he is certified by the American College of Surgeons in Ultrasound of the Thyroid and Parathyroid. Dr Godfrey completed the Advanced Thyroid Ultrasound Course at the World Congress on Thyroid Cancer in Toronto in July 2013.
Dr Godfrey has a special interest in head and neck cancer and has been trained in Robotic Surgery for tongue, tonsil and supraglottic (larynx) cancers.
